Photographer’s Forum’s 36th Annual Spring Photography Contest received over 11,400 submissions from 66 countries. Judy Guenther’s photo, “King Penguins South Georgia” was selected as a finalist and will be published in the book Best of Photography 2016. “The Majesty of the Mountains” by Willa Siegel has received a 2nd place award at the League of Reston Artists show commemorating the 100th anniversary of the US National Parks. The photo was taken at the Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming. The show is hanging at the Lake Anne Community Center in Reston. Reception
The ‘Mirror to the World’ exhibit currently at Photoworks at Glen Echo Park has been reviewed by Louis Jacobson for Washington City Paper. The Vienna Photographic Society invites photographers and artists to a presentation about artistic composition for gardens. Judy Guenther’s piece “Flying” was selected for the Hylton Performing Arts Center’s Buchanan Gallery 3rd Annual Juried Art Exhibition. The show at the Manassas, VA, center will be on display from May 15 through July 10.
Ginger Werz-Petricka is one of the featured photographers in the next Mirror on the World Photography Exhibit at Glen Echo Park in Maryland from April 22 to May 29.
