Our final competition of the year was one of our finest with Judge Roy Sewall giving us wonderful critiques and suggestions. It was “Oldies Night”, the photographers had an opportunity to enter their images taken more than two years ago. I thought I might have seen some vintage prints. Our themed competition “Famous Places” with judge Sue Bloom had 46 digital and 48 print entries between all three classes. All winners were judged on how the theme is interpreted through a photograph and how well the photograph reveals the “Famous Place”. Our competition for March with judge Andy Jezioro had 115 total entries . Digital Category Class 1 had the most entries with 22; and in the Monochrome Print Category, of all Classes combined, had the most prints with 26 entries. Finally “Out Of Place ” our theme for January , moved to February with Judge Cindi Hobgood became reality! Our entries were fewer than usual as the theme proved to be a difficult one, many images not fulfilling the theme. Our Class 1 Novice group in prints had only 2 entries; no points awarded with
NVPS had another very successful night of competition. We had 62 total digital entries with the Class 1 Novice group having the most at 24. Class 2 went from 27 last month to 17 this month. There were 66 total print entries with Monochrome combining all three Classes showing a spectacular group of 29 prints.
Our November Competition had 83 prints and 74 digital images; the largest total entries so far this year. The Class 1 (Novice) prints doubled their entries to 14 from last month.
