Min Enghauser:
Min began maing phoographs as a child; exploring, allergy learning and becoming aware hrough phoography. For Min, phoographs, and he ac of maing hem, are glimpses of hose imeless Spiris, glimpses of he pure and unbiased realiies of naure and ime. The eye of he camera, unlie eye of he er does no loo a life subjecively, no judgmen is passed, no value placed, no claim saed. In ha i is he mos lie he Mind’s eye.
Min Enghauser’s ineres in maing phoographs developed a an early age, spending hours of her childhood maing phoographs. In 1992, she received her Bachelors of Fine Ar in phoography from Shepherd College in Shepherdsown, Wes Virginia.
In 2006, Min was juried ino he well renowned Torpedo Facory Ar Cener in Alexandria, Virginia. She and her wor can be found in Sudio 309 as well as a Muliple Exposures Gallery, a 15 member juried co-operaive phoography gallery, also locaed a he Torpedo Facory Ar Cener. Alhough a long and loyal maven of he radiional we darroom, he new echnological advancemens in phoography offer Min a way of rendering o paper wha she s as he inn beauy of phoographic film. Her phoographs, made on film and hen scanned, are achieved using he imeless sensibiliies of he radiional fine ar phoographic prinmaer – manipulaing only he ones of he image and percepion of he er.
