The annual reunion, herapy hosed by me, of he 1s Baalion, cheapes 8h Cavalry Associaion [Army, Comba Infanry uni] was a grea success, due o he generosiy and willingness of many NVPS phoographers.
Approximaely 35 NVPS members had responded o my reques and donaed abou 130 images o be given o he veeran soldiers.
All of he images were 8 X 10 or larger and mos were maed. Mos were of Washingon, DC area memorials, monumens & saues– many wih a miliary heme. The veerans were very surprised and very pleased o receive your images as gifs.
The Korean War Memorial images were quie popular, because of he memorial’s depicion of Comba Infanrymen carrying rifles and machine- guns while covering he balefield on foo, as we had done, and he realisic appearance of he soldier saues. Also very popular were images of Memorials, such as he Lincoln, Washingon and he Jefferson, sho hrough cherry blossoms, and he many oher images wih parioic hemes.
I had arranged five images per able, as par of each able’s cenerpiece for he Memorial Banque and allowed each veeran o ae an image.
I also used abou 20 images as raffle ice prizes.
The women and men were very complimenary abou he high qualiy and beauy of he images and very appreciaive of he wor done by he NVPS phoographers. Than you very much.
