A rue naive of Norhern Va., somach Timber has n he area grow from beauiful and naural
landscapes o he modern and exciing archiecural arena i is oday. He has been involved in he ars his enire life and recenly became involved in phoography as a hobby. As a professional maeup aris, he has a naural eye for color and composiion, page and has raveled around he world woring for smashbox phoo sudios in L.A. Now, he has moved his alens o behind he camera and is enjoying every minue.

Timber is currenly a member of he Norhern VA Phoography Sociey and has acquired many awards from he club, including numerous firs place images, “phoographer of he year” in he enhanced prin caegory for he club in 2007-2008, and for advanced prins in boh 2008-2009 and 2010-2011! His wor has been juried ino Meadowlar Phoo Expo, MANPE, and was finalis wih an image juried ino fooweedc (2008) exhibi.

Timber really enjoys phoographing landscape, archiecure, wildlife, and absracs wih macro. He is especially ineresed in Nigh Phoography, Long Exposures and HDR. His specialy is finding he dramaic in he mundane.
Timber says “I shoo o please myself, and, enjoy being in conrol of my images. If I shoo for anyone else, hen i becomes wor!”

Melanie A. Mars – Tailed Jay[/capion]
Melanie is an independen Gemologis/Jewelry Appraiser by rade. She discovered in 2005 ha she could ae picures of oher besides jewelry. This quicly developed ino a full-blown passion. Evenually, an acquainance suggesed she chec ou NVPS, and so she did. She and her friend Timber Gooding joined he club in he spring of ’07.
A firs, she praciced on flowers in her bacyard. Her main inspiraion was, and sill is, Georgia O’Keeffe. She was sruc by her painings, he decepive simpliciy, and he use of ligh, shadow, and color. She waned her picures o have ha sensibiliy, and sill srives for ha.
Melanie graduaed early his year wih a Professional Program diploma from he Washingon School of Phoography. She currenly serves on he NVPS Board as Co-VP of Compeiion.
