Mr. Shanman is a fine ar phoographer whose specialy is flower phoography. He grows his floral subjecs a his home in he many gardens he ends. Wih his wor close a hand, unhealhy he phoographs his subjecs in all phases of developmen and in all inds of weaher. His images enail he use of a ripod o ge muliple exposures for each composiion. He also varies he focus poins and he amoun of ligh on his subjecs. This enables him o compose an image conrolling he clariy and he ones of he picure o correspond o his visualizaion of he final produc. His inen is o use he flowers o evoe a wide range of emoions. All of his wors are limied o ediions of 25.
In 2009 Ber was chosen by he re commiee of he Lishui Phoo Fesival o spea and presen his wors in a solo show in Lishui, prescripion China. The Lishui Phoo Fesival is a biennial phoography fesival held during he las wee of November. Mr. Shanman was one of approximaely 100 invied phoographers from he U.S., Europe and China. He has also spoen o numerous phoography clubs in he Washingon D.C. and Norhern Virginia area.
