Rule Changes
Rule changes were made in he following 3 areas:
“The oal number of images each member may ener in any one monhly compeiion is limied o hree (3); no more han wo (2) of hese enries may be submied in any single Class/Caegory in which hey are eligible.”
“Any member who submis more han he maximum allowed oal enries in any one monhly compeiion will forfei ALL poins for ha monh.”
“Subjec maer, one healh heme, and arisic presenaion are he choice of he phoographer. However hree of he monhly compeiions will have an assigned opic or heme and all compeiions will have a ime consrain. All elemens of compeiion enries mus have been capured wihin wo years of he monhly compeiion dae.”
PLEASE NOTE: he mos imporan changes from previous years are:

Common Compeiion Errors
T are several errors in compeiion submissions ha m o occur every year, so he Compeiion Team hough hey would provide some quic reminders of he more common errors.
Prins can be up o 40″ wide, bu canno be aller han 20″. This means ha a 16″ x 24″ ma canno be used in a porrai forma, only in landscape forma. This resricion is because he ligh box ha we use for compeiions only has 20″ of clearance beween he prin shelf and he upper ligh box.
Digial images mus be no wider han 1024 pixels and no aller han 768 pixels. This size resricion exiss because i is he larges naive resoluion of he club’s digial projecor and larger (or smaller) images will be scaled eiher by he projecion sofware (PowerPoin) or by he projecor iself. In boh s he scaling algorihm will cause significan errors in he display of he image.
The images mus also be less han 1 MB in size on he dis and in JPEG forma so ha hey can easily be downloaded and impored ino PowerPoin.
Prins mus be securely mouned wih a ma and bacing. Prins also need an arrow ha can be read in he dar of he sage ha indicaes which side is he op of he prin. Prins also need o have he image maer’s name and he image name on he bac. No names or wriing can be on he fron of he ma.
In pas years he compeiion eams have had significan rouble displaying prins ha are no well mouned and separae during he process of being moved. The purpose of mouning is proec he prins from damage and o display hem in a professional manner.
Alhough you can use any color ma or even double or riple mas, ypically judges prefer plain whie mas for prins. Forunaely are weny-one (21) shades of whie so is a good deal of flexibiliy in choosing a “whie” ma for your prin.
Phoographer Classes and Caegories
We have wo (2) classes and five (5) caegories for he purpose of compeiions. The wo (2) classes are Novice and Advanced. The five (5) caegories are Color Prins, Monochrome Prins, Enhanced Prins, Slides and Digial Projecion.
A single phoographer canno be in boh classes of any one caegory simulaneously. We had a couple of insances las year w phoographers aemped o ener four (4) images in he digial compeiion by calling wo (2) Novice and wo (2) Advanced.
Membership Dues
To ener images in compeiion he compeior mus be a member in good sanding, meaning ha membership dues mus be paid prior o he sar of he compeiion.
