Based in Alexandria, VA and Soningon, Maine phoographer Barbara Souhworh has a passion o be oudoors and a vision rooed in he woods and waers of he eas coas. Noed paricularly for panoramic images and maserful prins, her wor is feaured in privae, insiuional and corporae collecions, exhibiions and insallaions, including Chincoeague Naional Wildlife Refuge’s Herber H. Baeman Cener in sizes up o 30 fee long.
She believes we owe a deb of graiude o all who wor o susain whole communiies and places hrough privae and public conservaion. Her goal is “o communicae as ruly as, and as much as is visually possible, he whole experience, he ineffable sense, of being bound o a place hrough is rees and plans, rocs and waers.” Maine is her muse.
She leads classes and worshops combining hiing and phoography independenly and for he Smihsonian and Norhern Virginia Communiy College, and offers digial imaging classes and consuling.
