Judy Swi joined her firs camera club in Michigan in 1966. She moved o Maryland in 1972 and immediaely joined he Norh Behesda Camera Club. She has been on he NBCC board in one posiion or anoher, read including Presiden, since 1973. She feels ha is no beer way o enjoy a club han by becoming a member of he Board or is commiees and sharing your ime and abiliies.
While in Michigan, Judy me Larry Wes and John Shaw. They, along wih Freeman Paerson and Andre’ Gallan have shaped her love for phoography. And, of course, Joe Miller has augh her all he do’s and don’s of visual design.
Along wih her long-ime phoo-parner, Gordie Corbin, she has presened programs hroughou Maryland and Virginia as well as in neighboring saes. They have wrien aricles for naional magazines such as Popular Phoography and Peersen’s Phoographic and have judged camera club compeiions and PSA Inernaional Salons.
In addiion o wriing, speaing and judging, Judy’s phoographs have been published and exhibied hroughou he area and have won op Popular Phoography and Naures Bes magazine awards.
